Boxer Pumpkin-Carving Stencil ...

Matilda is a 5-month-old flashy fawn boxer ... she's a total clown.
She loves all people, especially children.
-- Aynsley Starbuck, Matilda's owner

Free Pumpkin-Carving Stencils of Favorite Dog Breeds
 from Better Homes & Gardens

Let your friends and neighbors know which dog breed is best by carving a pumpkin that looks like your favorite canine [Boxers, of course!].

Your dog is the best dog in the world, right? So show the world how much you care about Max or Buddy or Molly or Princess by carving a pumpkin with his or her likeness. The American Kennel Club's list of top breeds inspired this series of pumpkin-carving stencils.

How to use:

Start by cleaning out the pumpkin, scraping the flesh thinnest in the region in which you'll carve the design. Attach the pattern (enlarged on a photocopier) to the pumpkin with tape. Use a pin to make closely spaced pin pricks along the stencil lines, piercing the paper. Remove the pattern. Cut completely through solid lines (as shown on the stencil), but only peel away the skin within the dotted lines to enhance features.

*** Please post a pic when you are done ... it would be fun to see everyone's pumpkins ***
(make sure to include your Boxer in the pic too, of course!).

Boxers for Sale / Adoption ...

As a breed-specific dog club, we are often approached by folks looking to add a Boxer to their family. If we know of a reputable breeder with pups available, we refer folks to them. Or we point out Boxers available in shelters, or rescues that we know of, looking for a "forever" home.

Well, today we came across several Boxers listed on craigslist for sale! See all the details below:

"I have a purebred boxer for sale. To be completely honest I just don't have the time to take care of him I am a full time student and work too much. I believe he deserves so much better even though it breaks my heart to let him go.. His name is Roscoe, he is 6 months old and very well behaved. If interested contact HERE. (Minneapolis, MN) "

"Who doesn't love a Boxer! What a fantastic dog she is. She (Bounce) just turned 8 and was a kennel/breeder dog all her life. The breeder surrendered her to our rescue and she is ready for her new home. She is the perfect move in ready dog which is quite a treat considering her previous life. She is potty trained, spayed, teeth cleaned, and vaccinated. She loves to play, especially with the younger dogs in her foster home. She will run and chase and wrestle. It is a blast to watch her bounce!! She loves everyone she meets. Loves kids and lives with a 5 year old, small dogs, big dogs and cats. She is crate trained and rides great in the car. She is being fostered with RPAW and her adoption fee is $175.00. Click HERE to contact rescue. (Anoka, MN)"

We had one more to share with you too, but the craigslist "flagging-police" flagged it, and had it removed. Who knows why. We read it several times, and saw nothing inappropriate in the ad. :o(

Hopefully, one of our TCBC members will take one (or both!) of these Boxers into their family, and we will have the pleasure of meeting them at our get-togethers! ♥

"Mini" Boxers ...

"Mini Boxer"

As we tend to do from time to time, we were searching craigslist for Boxer postings, when we came across a post listing a "Mini Boxer" for sale.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MINI BOXER! Please do not be fooled by ads saying there are.

There are smaller Boxers (usually from health issues/trauma as a pup), but there are no "minis".

The one we saw on craigslist says it is 15 pounds, at almost a year old! This is a MIX, a mutt, a cross, NOT-a-Boxer ... usually Boston Terriers x Boxers, OR some are actually crossing the Rat Terrier with a Pug, and calling it a Mini Boxer.

Ugh ...

LOST - Male Boxer (Brainerd, MN) ...

Zeus, a smaller neutered brindle male Boxer, went missing on 12/5/12 in Fort Ripley, Minnesota.

He was last seen at the junction of Hwy 45 and Cty Rd 139 ... south of Brainerd, Minnesota.

He is brindle with white on face, chest and feet. He was wearing a metal choke chain with blue cloth cording weaved through the links. He is very friendly and knows his name.

He is unfamiliar with the area, as this is a new home for him and he has never been in a rural setting (which may be why he can't get home). If seen or found  please contact Robin @ 218-831-1157, or at shtster@charter.net .

To keep up with the search, see Zeus' Facebook page >>> https://www.facebook.com/FindZeus?fref=pb

Please feel free to share/cross-post far & wide. Thank You! ♥
